| Poison Prevention Protect yourself and your family by following a few simple guidelines! |
- Request “safety-lock” tops on all prescription drugs.
- Keep household cleaners, bug sprays, and medicines out of reach and sight of children.
- Never call medicine “candy.”
- Never put poisonous products in food or drink containers.
- Never store food and household cleaners together.
- Do not underestimate your child’s ability to find and open poisonous products.
- It is no longer recommended to keep a bottle of SYRUP OF IPECAC on hand. If you have a bottle, please dispose of it.
- Do keep the Poison Center Hotline available (put the sticker on your phones.)
